Hike - Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs

This hike is suited for all hikers, with neglible elevation. Dogs are allowed on leash. We will hike the North Half and part of the South Half, as described in “Easy Hikes – Hidden Past” by Shockley & Jones. The hike will be leisurely, with several stops for a brief history lesson on Colorado Springs, as per the book. Depending on length of pauses, it should take about 2 hours. The hike will be fun and thought-provoking, with some history that may provide new insights to our fair city.

As always, bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen will likely be needed.

All participants meet at the Legacy Loop Plaza parking lot. To get there, take Uintah West to Glen Ave, turn right before I-25, at the 7-11. Follow the road, which briefly goes East on W San Miguel St, then North on Recreation Way, to the Legacy Loop parking Lot.
