From skiing & snow biking to camping, hiking and Happy Hours, the Sno-Jets do it all!
The Sno-Jets are a diverse group of singles and married couples who enjoy life too much to sit still for very long—unless it’s on the ski lift, a bike seat or even in a canoe. We have over 150 active members and host a range of activities and events year round.
We plan ski trips to many of Colorado’s spectacular ski resorts during the winter where folks can enjoy skiing, snow boarding, and even snow biking. Non-skiers can choose to snowshoe, ride snowmobiles, ski cross country or enjoy shopping at our quaint mountain towns. After hours, there’s nothing like recounting the day’s events around a blazing fire, in a bubbling hot tub, over a great meal or during the ride home.
Our annual events include:
Annual Membership Party in Sep/Oct - Our memberships run from 1 October every year and run until 30 September. We start each year off with an annual Membership Party at a local restaurant to get everyone together after the end of the summer season & before the start of the ski season to celebrate the new year and get the scoop on the Ski Trips planned for the upcoming season. The party is normally free for members that signup for the new year and includes heavy appetizers, a drink and tons of door prizes.
We hold Winter Meetings every other Thursday night from October to April which not only provides opportunities for socializing with other Sno-Jets, but also provide entertaining programs including games, exercises geared towards getting in shape for skiing, any number of interesting topics, mixers, and of course, programs about skiing!
Annual Ski Trip to Vail in January - We stay over a long weekend at the fabulous Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort. We share 3-bedroom/3-bath townhouse units and enjoy a meet and greet Happy Hour Party to start the weekend off, ski at either Vail or Beaver Creek (or enjoy numerous other winter sports in the area) & have a dinner party on Saturday night. The resort is right on the bus line which takes you directly to the Vail Transportation Center for shopping, dining or skiing and from there you can hope on another bus to get to Beaver Creek. This trip normally opens in October and has sold out for years!
Annual Spring into Summer Party - We celebrate the end of ski season and the beginning of summer events with our Annual SIS Party. This is normally a BBQ held in May/June at a member's home, free to members with plenty of burgers, brats, sides, desserts, drinks and games.
If you’re 21 years of age or older and like to meet and mingle with people who love fun, this is the club for you. We’re very easy-going; you can participate in as many or as few activities as you want, based on your time and interests.
