We will be hiking the Raspberry Mountain Trail and a section of the Ring The Peak in a beautiful area near The Crags and Dome Rock just south of Divide. Total distance of the hike is 5.2 miles with an elevation gain of 1013’. The overall rating is “moderate” but the last .5 mile to the top of the rock outcroppings is fairly steep and rugged.

Address: 465-798 Co Rd 62 (off Hwy 67 south of Divide)

Directions: Head west on Hwy 24 (Cimarron) to Divide (about 25 miles west of I-25. Take Co 67 south for 4.0 miles and make a left hand turn on Co Rd 62, just beyond the Mueller State Park turnoff. The trailhead/parking is on the left hand side after about 3.0 miles. Once you pass the Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp, the entrance will be a little more than a half mile further. If you would like to carpool or caravan, meet in the parking lot of the Safeway off HWY 24 and 31st St at 8:45am.

As usual, make sure you bring plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen and an extra layer of clothing. Dogs on leashes are allowed on this hike.
