Bear Creek Park Hike

The hike route is about 5 miles in length and is rated as easy to moderate. We will pass through part of the area hit by last fall's Bear Creek Fire on our way into Bear Canyon towards Gold Camp Road and the Section 16 trailhead. Total elevation gain will be less than 500 feet. Bring plenty of water or your beverage choice and snacks. Dogs on leashes are allowed. Masks are highly recommended.

Directions:

From I-25, take Exit 141 and head west on Hwy 24 (Cimarron)

Turn left (South) on 21st

Go about 1.5 miles to Argus and West about .25 mi to signage that directs you to Bear Creek Terrace area

Turn right and park in last lot on right just beyond the picnic pavilions
