Purgatory Trip Signup

Join us for a 5-day, 4-night stay in Durango, CO skiing Purgatory Feb 7-11th.  
Purgatory - Cascade Village
Purgatory - Ski Hill
We will be staying at Cascade Village just a few miles from the Purgatory Ski Resort.  This is a U-drive trip but complimentary transportation is provided from Cascade Village to Purgatory Ski Resort (only 2 miles away)

We have reserved various unit sizes to pick from:
3-bdrm/3-bath "Cascade condo - $290/person ==> Sold Out
Sleeps 3 singles or 6 people sharing the condo.  2220 sq ft unit with a King bed and balcony in the Master, a Queen bed in the 2nd upstairs bedroom and 2 double beds in the 2nd bedroom on the main level + a sleeper soft & TV in the loft

2-bdrm/2-bath "Wintergreen" condo - $310/person ==> 1 unit left
Sleeps 2 singles or 4 people sharing the condo.  1110 sq ft units with a King/Queen bed in the Master and 2 twin beds in the second bedroom + a sleeper sofa/futon in the living room

1-bdrm/1-bath Studio with Loft - $310/person ==> Sold out
Sleeps 1 single or 2 people sharing the studio.  700 sq ft units with a King bed & TV in the loft, a Queen sleeper sofa downstairs, and kitchenette (no oven)

Studio for 2 - Purgatory Village Condo Hotel - $406/person - 2 units available
Sleeps 1 single or 2 people sharing the condo. 400 sq ft unit with Queen-size pull down Murphy bed, full bath, fireplace and kitchenette with Mini-fridge, 3 burners, coffee pot, toaster and microwave.  Hotel is located in the heart of Purgatory Village Center about 2.8 miles from Cascade Village but closer to the ski resort.

Cascade Village will be providing a complimentary welcome reception party with appetizers and a drink for everyone.

Cascade Village Amenities:
- Indoor heated pool and jetted hot tub, men's and women's saunas & locker rooms
- 2 Outdoor soaking tubs
- Fitness Center
- Game room
- Underground parking
- Free internet connections
- Several restaurants & bars nearby (by Durango Ski Resort)
- 2 hours from Telluride Ski Resort

All Rooms have:
- Wood burning fireplace (firewood provided)
- Cable televisions
- Microwave oven or full kitchen
- Balconies

Room quantities are limited so signup early to get the desired room size you want.

If your desired room type is not available, please contact the Trip Captain via email.  We'll start a wait list & once we have a room filled on the wait list, we'll see if we can add units.

If you would like your own room/condo, double payment will be required since the rooms require double occupancy.  When you select your unit size, put a quantity of 2 to indicate you'd like your own room/bed.

If you choose to share a room, you will be paired with someone of the same sex unless you provide a desired roommates name and they also provide your name.  An initial room assignment list will be sent out NLT 8 Jan 2021.  If you have concerns about rooming, please address them with the Trip Captain.

Purgatory is not on the IKON or Epic passes but lift tickets are available to purchase based on skier age as follows:
Ticket Type Adult (18-64) Ages 65-75 Age 75+
1 weekday (Mon-Thurs) ticket $73 $49 FREE
Additional weekday tickets $63 $39 FREE
Extra charge for tickets Fri-Sun $10 $10   FREE

  - Purchase tickets by 7 Jan, final payment due 22 Jan
  - 3% fee is added for credit card payments or mail check to avoid fee
  - Cancellations prior to 7 Jan are fully refundable
Payments:
A minimum deposit of $75 will be due at signup to reserve your spot. 
Trip will open to Non-Members on 15 Nov (Additional fee - $45, includes free membership)
The full remaining payment will be due NLT 6 Jan 2021.  

Optional Trip Insurance:
We are providing an option to purchase "Ski Trip Preserver" insurance through the Red Sky Travel Insurance Company.  The cost is 6.95% of your total cost (lodging + lift tickets).  See flyers attached for information on what the insurance covers and about their COVID-19 facts.  It is recommended that you purchase this insurance within 21 days of purchasing your lodging and lift tickets.  No health exam is required.

This trip is on a first-come, first-serve basis and room availability may not be guaranteed unless enough people signup to fill a particular room type. Everyone must sign up individually. Once rooms reserved are filled, a wait list will be opened. Once there are enough people on a wait list to fill a room, we will see if an addition room(s) can be added. If the rooms are available, you will receive an email notifying you that you may sign up for the trip within the time limit set within the email.
