Participants desiring to carpool or caravan, meet at the Woodmen Park and Ride at I-25 between 8:00 AM – 8:15 AM. For participants driving directly to Sandstone Ranch, meet at the park’s common area and parking lot between 9:00-9:15 AM. The address is 9604 S Perry Park Rd, Larkspur Colorado 80118. To get there, take I-25 North to exit 172 (Larkspur, CO). The exit is at Upper Lake Gulch Rd, where you will turn left and head East to Spruce Mountain Rd, where you will again turn left and head South into Larkspur. Next, upon coming to Perry Park Ave, turn right and head East about 3 miles until you come to Perry Park Rd, which is also CO 105. Turn left onto Perry Park Rd/CO 105 and head South a short distance until you reach the entrance to Sandstone Ranch. From there, follow the service road to the common area /parking lot.

This hike is suited for all hikers, with minimal elevation. Dogs are allowed on leash. Restrooms are available at the common area. There are two loops available, the Meadows Trail Loop (3.7 miles) and the Juniper Trail Loop (3.2 miles). We will initially hike the Meadows Trail Loop. After that, we will take a straw poll and either call it a day or hike the Juniper Trail Loop. Either way, we will eventually get back to the common area and possibly make plans to go somewhere as a group for lunch.
